Our Story

TileZu started with a trowel in hand. In 2010, Sam began his career as a tiler and quickly discovered it was more than a trade – it deeply sparked his creativity too. By 2012, he'd taken home first place as an apprentice at WorldSkills Australia for his mosaic work. That passion for craftsmanship led to Elite Tile Works, now one of Sydney and the South Coast's most respected tile installation companies.

In 2025, TileZu was born – a luxury tile supply company, another passion project, and the missing piece of the puzzle. The name is a nod to our daughter Azura, whose nickname is "Zu". She's so very proud to have a business named after her.

TileZu isn't just a business for us – it's our second child. Built from over a decade of real experience on real job sites, a creative spark that never faded, and a genuine love for the craft, we created something for those who see their home and projects as more than four walls.

A Family Business

We're a family business in the truest sense.

Sam leads as founder and director, bringing hands-on expertise from over a decade in the trade. His partner Caitlin runs operations and strategy, shaping the brand and building relationships with designers and suppliers. Aunty Sue keeps the accounts in order, and cousin Ruby drives sales and social media. Even cousin Joel is on the tools with Elite!
