Sunset began as a year of looking. Designed by plonc. after sustained observation of sunsets over Avoca Beach on the NSW Central Coast, its surface captures the gradual transition from brightness to depth that marks the end of a coastal day — atmosphere dissolving into sand, mineral, and fading light.
Warm grey-beige fields are interrupted by restrained gold and pale mineral markings. These are not decorative additions; they carry the memory of shifting light, geological pressure, and coastal erosion pressed into the porcelain body. With subtle relief, Sunset responds to the movement of daylight across it — deepening rather than dazzling, allowing light to pause and recede across its surface.
In a space, Sunset does not announce itself. It steadies. It creates continuity between architecture and the lived experience of light, making it ideal for bathrooms, open-plan living floors, and any interior where warmth and calm are the design priority.
