There is a reason natural stone still commands a premium after several thousand years of competition. Every piece is genuinely unique, the depth of the surface changes as the light moves across it, and it ages into something rather than simply wearing out.
This collection spans marble, travertine, limestone and other quarried surfaces. It also carries the shortest list of caveats we give anyone, so we'd rather be direct about them.
Natural stone varies between batches. The samples you receive represent the material, not an exact match. That variation is the whole point, but it does mean ordering everything at once from the same batch matters more than it does with porcelain. It is generally more porous than porcelain, requires sealing, and needs a bit more thought about where it goes!

When we tell you a stone is worth the maintenance in a particular application, or that you'd be happier with a porcelain alternative, that comes from having seen how it behaves three years after handover.
If you're choosing between natural stone and a look-alike, order samples of both. The difference is obvious in the hand and invisible on a screen.
